Cracked, LLC Escape Room Review – Dreadnaught

It was a dark and stormy night…

as my crew and I entered the USS-Dreadnaught and were given our mission. A saboteur had damaged the support systems on our submarine and three intercontinental ballistic missiles were set to launch at the United States unless the four of us could work together to stop them. The stakes were high: nuclear war and the lives of millions of innocent civilians.

Could my crew of fresh recruits repair Dreadnaught’s support systems and abort the launch sequence in time?

As the door closed behind us we looked around.

Smoke. Pipes. Locked boxes. Control panels. Diagrams. Electrical switches.

Our group split up and began to look for clues. As we found letters, numbers, keys, combinations, and tools, we worked together as a team to complete our mission.

It wasn’t always easy, and we used all of our clues, but in the end we managed to successfully abort the missile launch with a few minutes to spare! It was a real nail biter.

This is now the second game I’ve played at Cracked and I had a great experience both times. The other game I played was Prohibition Mission.

Between the two games, I would have to say that I liked the format of Prohibition Mission better. However, I think Dreadnaught was a better game to play with a smaller group (4), whereas Prohibition Mission worked well with a group of 8. This is thankfully reflected in Cracked’s limit on the number of players for each game.

For those who are looking for a family bonding activity, girls’ or guys’ night, team-building experience, date night, or a fun way to get your synapses firing at top speed, Cracked, LLC is a great place to go.

Located just outside of Wausau, WI, the escape room destination has four different games to choose from which are geared toward groups of 2-10 players. The booking process is very easy and can be done right on Cracked’s website.

If you do not choose an exclusive room, or do not book all of the available spots, there is a chance that other people could join your game. You just have to decide if you’d be ok with that or not. When the big day arrives, you just show up 10 minutes early, sign a waiver, learn the rules, and then you’re off to the races! It’s a 60 minute race, but it sure does go by quickly.

I want to thank Cracked, LLC for inviting me to play this game. Although two complimentary passes were generously provided, this in no way influenced my opinions in this review.

If you’ve played at Cracked, LLC let me know what YOU thought! If you’ve played more than one game, which one was your favorite?
