The first children’s book about the Wausau-area is HERE!
“The ABCs of Wausau” highlights two Wausau area attractions for each letter of the alphabet. This book is high-quality, with a hard cover and 54+ full-color pages. There are large colorful letters and text on one side, and two photographs on the other side. The overall design of the book is inspired by the papermaking industry, with digital images of different kinds of paper being used throughout.
The backstory:
Like many families, we love books. We own hundreds of books, give books for gifts, and make frequent trips to the library. One day, while looking through all of our city-specific ABC books (Chicago, Seattle, New York, etc.), I thought about how these books are both fun and educational. I realized at that moment that the Wausau area should have its own ABC book! There are a handful of books about Wausau for adults, but none for children, so I decided to create one. “The ABCs of Wausau” will teach kids about our area, help them learn their ABCs, foster a sense of pride in our community, and be a unique souvenir for visitors to our area.
