Green Bay, WI

There are many great activities for kids and families in Green Bay, WI. Are you planning a weekend trip to Titletown? Here are my recommendations:

Fall or Winter

SATURDAY

1. The Green Bay Children’s Museum – 10 am

A digestive tract exhibit where you are the food, a fire station, a craft area with staff directed activities, a building area with blocks, a lighthouse with a sandbox, a tree-house with a slide, and a boat with water play and pretend fishing are just a few of the activities available to families who visit The Green Bay Children’s Museum.

The museum has a great layout for younger kids; everything is on one floor and most of the areas are all in one big room. My kids had fun revisiting their favorite areas multiple times. There is also FREE parking in the museum’s garage on the weekends. We will definitely go back! [The museum generously waived our admission for my honest review.]

2. The Creamery – Noon

Only a 1 minute walk from The Green Bay Children’s Museum with a view of the river.

3. Nap at your Airbnb rental – 2 pm

If you are new to Airbnb, you can $40 off your first stay by clicking the link above. You can frequently find 2 bedroom homes or apartments for the same price as a studio hotel room. If your kid (or you!) need a nap, there is nothing nicer than having real bedrooms with doors!

Pro tip: If you plan to eat-in for dinner, stop at a grocery store to pick up some local beer or wine.

4. Titletown Playground – 4 pm

Now that everyone is well rested, it’s time to burn off some energy! Located right across the street from Lambeau Field is Titletown – a place to “play, stay, eat, and relax”. My kids love the playground with its many unique and fun play structures. Packer fans should make sure to bring along a ball to toss around on the full-sized football field. You can also take a tour of Lambeau Field. In the winter they offer tubing and ice skating on site.

The view from Ariens Hill.

5. Head back to your Airbnb rental – 6 pm

You can order takeout, eat some food you picked up at the grocery store, or do a combination of the two!

SUNDAY

1. Uncle Mike’s Bake Shoppe – 7 am

Pick up some award-winning Kringle for breakfast.

Pro tip: Get it the day before! Just check their hours first.

2. Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary – 9 am

First, make a stop at the Nature Center which is amazingly open at 8 am on a Sunday and it’s FREE. There’s a tunnel kids can crawl through, drawers with animal specimens and fossils, a tree they can walk into, easily visible birds on the many bird feeders near the window, small live animals in cages, a slide (only my 5 year-old liked it), a large plastic turtle shell they can “wear”, pelts to feel, many educational signs for older children to read, and much more!

Starting at 9 am you can walk over to the Woodland Building to see a possum, chipmunk, mink, turtles and snakes. Outside you can see foxes, bobcats, otters, a cougar and wolves. There are more things to see and do, but we ran out of time!

3. Titletown Brewing – 11:30 am

Eat lunch at this family friendly restaurant before hitting the road.
