Visitors can visit the Birthing Center through Hospital Entrance C, which is monitored by security cameras and an Infant Security System. Please stop at the desk to sign in and get your loved one’s room number.
- Visiting Hours: 11 am to 8:30 pm
- Children are welcome when accompanied by adults
- Fathers, brothers and sisters, grandparents, and labor support persons are welcome at any time
- In-room sleeping accommodations for fathers/support person are provided on request

- Labor and Delivery – We want to make your family celebration memorable. We encourage you to share your birthing plan with your nurse to ensure your experience meets your expectations.
- Nursing Care –Your nurse will be with you and your baby before, during and after delivery and will serve as your personal link to information, education, and comfort. Your care will be customized for you based on your choices and preferences.
- Education – Because these first days are a time of learning for new parents, your nurse will provide one-to-one teaching for you. The Newborn Channel (Channel 14 on the in-room televisions) provides 24-hour education.
- Lactation Services & Breastfeeding Warm Line – Certified lactation consultants are available daily to help you and your baby get a good start with breastfeeding, and the consultants can meet with nursing moms after discharge for ongoing support. Our Breastfeeding “Warm Line” at 715-847-2910 or Toll-free 866-227-0105 connects you with support anytime day or night.
- Newborn Hearing Screening – All newborns are screened for hearing problems free of charge before going home. This is to identify and address any potential hearing issues right away. Babies needing further assessment will be referred to an audiologist (hearing specialist) for follow-up.

Location:
We are located on Level 1 (second floor) above the Emergency Room of Marshfield Medical Center-Weston. Visitors will be buzzed into the Birth Center.
Services:
Our highly trained health care professionals can take care of high-risk pregnancies and babies. The neonatal intensive care unit in Marshfield Children’s Hospital in Marshfield can provide specialized care if needed. The 24/7 neonatal transport team provides ground and air transport for babies from all over the state and region to Marshfield.
As a Health System, we have specialty obstetrics care for any complications like preeclampsia, preterm labor, gestational diabetes and more during pregnancy. Our OB/GYNs consult with our maternal fetal medicine specialists for collaborative care before and during pregnancy.
