One of my favorite events in Wausau is the Balloon and Rib Fest. Being on-site is a little chaotic, but it’s pretty neat to see the balloons inflate and lift off into the air.

At the beginning of June, I participated in an awesome women’s hike hosted by the Central Moraines Chapter of the Ice Age Trail Alliance. We hiked an interesting section of the Ice Age Trail near the Dells of the Eau Claire. I enjoyed the hike, but even more than that I enjoyed the conversations I had with the other women in the group.
