If your child will be four years of age on, or before, September 1st of the next school year, here’s what you need to know.
4K in the Wausau area (DC Everest School District or Wausau School District) is an optional, free, half-day (AM or PM), pre-kindergarten program.

DC Everest School District 4K Program:
If you are in the DC Everest school district (check the district boundaries here), go to the DC Everest 4K website to download, fill out, and complete the online registration process.
You cannot submit your online registration until Monday, February 10, 2020 at 8am. However, it’s recommended that you fill out all of the downloadable forms and gather your necessary documents ahead of time. Each online registration is date and time stamped. If you use this system, you do not need to fill out any additional forms in person.
If you do not wish to use the online registration system, you will need to fill out the paper registration forms at one of the 4K Partner sites. Some sites fill up quickly, so make sure you arrive early Monday morning to increase your chances of getting your top choice.
Wausau School District 4K Program:
If you are in the Wausau School District (check the district boundaries here), you will fill out an Online Registration Form (available here) to register your child for 4K. Online registration begins on Monday, February 3, 2020.
After you complete the online form, you will also need to complete an enrollment verification packet at the 4K & EC Programs Office at G.D. Jones Elementary School. Completion of these forms will finalize your child’s 4K registration. Registration packets are available at G.D. Jones from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Please bring your child’s birth certificate and address verification if possible.

- Mountain View Montessori – February 4, 5:30-7 p.m.
- Newman Catholic, St. Michael – February 11, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
- G.D. Jones – February 11, 4-6 p.m.
- Riverview – February 13, 4-6 p.m
- Wausau Child Care, West – February 17, 4-5 p.m.
- Thomas Jefferson – February 17, 4-6 p.m.
- Hawthorn Hills – February 18, 4-6 p.m.
- YMCA – February 18 & 19, 4-6 p.m.
- Wausau Child Care, East – February 19, 4:15-5:15 p.m.
