Wunderfrau Interview: Allison Liddle – Allison Liddle Consulting

Allison Liddle – Allison Liddle Consulting

What do you do?

I am a John Maxwell Team certified keynote speaker, executive coach, and leadership trainer that is passionate about helping people thrive both personally and professionally. As an entrepreneur, I started my first business at age twenty-three. I then went on to found a national, award-winning financial planning firm called Prosper Wealth Management that has been featured in Forbes, USA Today, and many other national media outlets. I am a lifelong Wisconsin resident; I currently live in central Wisconsin with my family. Life Under Construction is my first book.

What education, classes or training were helpful to you?

I’d say my certification with the John Maxwell Team helped me a lot. I was able to find a group of like-minded people to learn from and I had access to leadership experts. I also read all of the time, I have shelves full of books that help me. I enjoy reading about leadership, relationships, communication, creativity, spirituality, and personal development.

What do you like best about your job?

I LOVE empowering people to design lives they love. For the longest time, I felt stuck in my life and I didn’t know what to do. Now I have the opportunity to share my story and hopefully inspire others to become designers of their own lives. The stories of people starting businesses, or taking that next step to grow themselves makes my heart full!

What advice would you give girls who want to get into your field?

I started my search to learn more about leadership when I was in 7th grade and I had a track coach tell me I was a leader. I didn’t know what that meant, so I went out on a mission to figure it out. Since that time I’ve been learning, growing, and researching leadership. I’d say figure out what you’re interested in and then find opportunities to learn as much as you can about that subject. Eventually, people will be asking you to teach them about it and that’s a really wonderful feeling.

Anything else we should know?

I was just published on the John Maxwell Team blog!
