When we moved to Wausau from Minnesota I didn’t know anything about 4K. Now, four years later, I have a student in 4K! Let me share with you what I’ve learned.
Here are the basics:
If your child will be four years of age on or before September 1st of the next school year, then this information is for you!
4K in the Wausau area is an optional, free, half-day (AM or PM), pre-kindergarten program.
Check out Wausau Mama’s 4K Directory for a full list of all 4K sites.
DC Everest School District 4K Program:
If you are in the DC Everest school district (check that here), go to the DC Everest 4K website to print and fill out all of the forms.
Then bring all of the forms and your child’s birth certificate to your location of choice starting Monday of the second full week of February. (February 12, 2018)
Some sites fill up quickly, so make sure you arrive early Monday morning to increase your chances of getting your top choice.
Wausau School District 4K Program:
If you are in the Wausau School District (check that here), you will use this form to register your child for 4K right now.
Then bring your child’s birth certificate and any additional paperwork to the 4K Program Office at G.D. Jones School, 1018 S 12th Ave, Wausau to complete the registration process.
Do you currently have a child in 4K? Did your child recently finish 4K? What were your experiences? Comment below! I’d love to hear from you!
